If you want to start with the base game's four single-player campaigns, you can choose the Standard Edition on Steam. If you also want the two follow-up story expansions, the digital soundtrack, and early access, you can choose the Commander Edition. Checking the edition names and included items at purchase will confirm exactly what you are buying.

Release Plan for the Two Story Expansions
The current Year One roadmap schedules the Blood Ravens Story Prologue for spring 2027 and the AFTERMATH Campaign Expansion, together with a new faction, for summer 2027. Both are follow-up story content included with the Commander Edition, and their actual release dates will follow the official release schedule.

Free Updates After the Base Game
Year One also plans to add the following content through free updates:
- Crusade Mode.
- New maps and game modes.
- Playable commanders.
- The Mission Editor.
These free updates are scheduled separately from the two story expansions. Players focused on the single-player campaigns can choose an edition based on the base game's content, then plan their further play around the scheduled spring prologue and summer campaign expansion.
