For the cheat to work you need to open the "Progression" tab in your character menu. The "Add Attribute / Talent Points" cheat will affect the attribute points, as long as this screen is open. If you want to add talent points, you need to switch to the the "talents" tabm for the cheat to affect those. Important Info: To ensure that the XP, attributes and talent points are saved, you need to give yourself enough XP to bring you close to levelling up, and then receive the remaining XP from the game. Only once you have levelled up through normal gameplay, you can close the game and restart it, and the stats will still be the same.

Hover your mouse over an item in your inventory. The cheat will then apply to that specific item, although the game will only display the new quantity correctly once you’ve moved the item into a chest and back, or, for example, used it to duplicate items! It's best to enable this cheat only when you want to build, craft, or duplicate items in your inventory. As long as the cheat is active, no items will be consumed! This means you can build and craft for free, as long as you have the materials needed to build or craft that item.

These cheats let you affect the speed of nearby ships. However, the cheat only works on nearby ships—such as those you're currently engaged in combat with. Once they move a bit further away, the game no longer calculates their movements in detail but instead simulates them, and the cheat no longer affects them!
